Hamburger, hotdog buns sold at Ohio stores recalled due to plastic contamination
Flowers Foods, Inc. has voluntarily recalled hamburger buns, hot dog buns and other bakery items due to the potential presence of hard plastic.
The items were sold in more than a dozen states including Ohio.
So far, no illnesses have been reported. The buns were from brands sold in stores like Walmart, Kroger and Aldi. They had “best by” dates of July 18 and July 19.
Anyone with any of the products should return them to the place of purchase and call Flowers Foods customer service at 1-866-245-8921 with any further questions.
