Fostoria woman struck by vehicle, driver tries to FLEE to another state before cops arrest her
FOSTORIA, OH (TiffinOhio.net News) — On Wednesday, July 3 at approximately 7:08 a.m., a female was brought to the station by an individual and reported that she had been struck by a vehicle. EMS was called to the station for the victim and she was treated and transported to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital by Fostoria Fire Division.
Fostoria officers interviewed witnesses and the victim and were able to identify both the driver and the vehicle involved.
Officers went to the residence and found the vehicle, but no one would come to the door. Fostoria Police also obtained intel that the driver was attempting to leave the community in another vehicle and that vehicle was identified and upon being stopped, the suspect driver was located and taken into custody.
The driver, Jacqueline P Ross, age 30 of Fostoria, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Vehicular Assault.
A source revealed to TiffinOhio.net News that Ross was attempting to leave the state in a different vehicle.
The investigation is continuing with interviews and processing of the scene. Further charges are pending.
