Divine Style Beauty Bar, a new salon and barbershop offering wide-range of services, opens in Tiffin
TIFFIN, OH — A new salon and barber shop has opened in Tiffin, offering a wide range of services catering to both women and men.
Alisha “Lish” Elchert-Godfrey, a Tiffin native, is the owner of Divine Style Beauty Bar, which, after a complete renovation, recently opened its doors at 12 Hudson St. behind the Fort Ball Pizza Palace north store. The location previously held Mindy’s Hair Fashions.
Currently, the salon and barbershop is home to two stylists: Elchert-Godfrey and Tessa Hurt. “We offer salon services including all over colors, color retouching, highlights, cuts and styling, brow waxing, lash extensions, and fills,” Elchert-Godfrey stated.
“We also offer men’s haircuts,” Elchert-Godfrey continued, stating that the new business would like to hire a dedicated barber at some point.
Elchert-Godfrey graduated from the Tiffin Hair Academy in 2016 as a stylist with a manager’s license, and has worked at Ye Crimpers Shoppe in Tiffin, until around mid-May, when she started working on her own vision of a new salon.
“My goal is to basically have diversity in the salon and bring something different to Tiffin,” Elchert-Godfrey noted, saying she plans to seek an additional stylist at some point who specializes in ethnic hair.
In addition to Elchert-Godfrey’s experience at Ye Crimpers, she also says she gained a lot of experience while undergoing lash-application training with Sandy from Shakti Healing LLC. “Lash applications and extensions have been a huge part of my clientele this past year,” Elchert-Godfrey said.
