Spectrum to close its Downtown Tiffin office: report
TIFFIN, OH — According to sources familiar with Spectrum’s plans, the telecommunications company plans to close its Downtown Tiffin office, where it has been located for over 40 years.
The office is expected to close June 28, 2019. It will be interesting to see how Spectrum will handle equipment-related processes now that the office will be closing. They will likely require customers to ship equipment back and forth, or drive to the nearest Spectrum office (Findlay or Fremont).
Spectrum’s move comes as consumers increasingly move away from traditional cable services, instead opting to use Internet streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube TV, Hulu, and others.
City of Tiffin officials were reportedly not aware of Spectrum’s plans to close the office downtown.
