Advertiser-Tribune announces it will get rid of Sunday newspaper, switch to “Weekend Edition”
TIFFIN, OH — Tiffin’s oldest newspaper, The Advertiser-Tribune, has announced this week that it will no longer publish a Sunday edition.
Instead, the A-T plans to publish a “Weekend Edition” on Saturdays that will include much of what the Sunday edition previously included.
“We are very excited to showcase our Weekend Edition, as it will be filled with content that is unique and important to our readers,” said Jeremy Speer, the new publisher of The Advertiser-Tribune.
Local newspapers are failing to make the digital transition larger players did — and are in danger of vanishing.
The closing of local newsrooms can create “news deserts,” areas with limited access to news outlets, which is why it is important to support your local news outlets.
