TIFFIN, OH — According to the Tiffin Police Department, a woman was arrested Friday evening after the department responded to a call regarding a suicidal man.

Authorities received a report of a suicidal man at 54 W. Market St. in Tiffin around 6 PM Friday. Someone at the residence told the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office that the man “had a gun in his mouth,” so the Sheriff’s Office contacted Tiffin Police.

Upon arriving at the Market St. residence Friday, police found that man armed with a gun and barricaded inside a bathroom. The man told authorities he would kill himself if they came in.

After negotiating with the man for nearly an hour, alongside pleas from the man’s children, the man came out of the bathroom voluntarily. The man, who reportedly had no injuries, was then taken into the custody and transported for a mental health evaluation.

After the man was taken into custody, a woman then refused to come out of the apartment, which law enforcement spent about another hour trying to resolve. Police eventually made entry into the apartment and took the woman into custody after finding her in the bathroom. Tracy L. Lucius, 48, of Tiffin, was charged with obstruction and transported to Seneca County Jail.
