Police: 14-year-old on meth had seizure due to ‘medical issue,’ not drug
BASCOM, OH — According to a new statement from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, a 14-year-old individual was unable to be controlled during an incident in February due to medical issues.
Bascom EMS and Bascom Joint Fire District responded to a report of a person having a seizure in February. A 14-year-old at the location, 2870 W. SR 18, admitted that they do drugs and was high on methamphetamine at the time of the incident.
Police initially believed the 14-year-old’s uncontrollable and erratic behavior was due to the drug use, but new information points to an underlying medical issue that led to the seizure, rather than drug use.
