Man indicted after allegedly assaulting Seneca County Sheriff’s deputy
TIFFIN, OH — According to court records, an Idaho man was indicted by a Seneca County grand jury in connection to an alleged assault on a Seneca County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
James D. Nafus, 50, of Boise, Idaho, was charged with assault on a peace officer, a felony of the fourth-degree.
Nafus allegedly struck Deputy Mark Lawson of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office several times with a closed fist, kicked him several times, and clawed him on his right hand during the altercation on February 23, according to court records.
