Downtown Tiffin building evacuated after parts of roof blown into power lines
TIFFIN, OH — A downtown Tiffin building had parts of its roof blown off due to Sunday’s strong winds. The roofing was blown into overhead power lines which prompted a response from Tiffin Fire Department.
The three-story commercial building located on Market St. also houses residents in upstairs apartments. No injuries were reported and crews were working on getting the power lines fixed, as well as roofing cleaned up.
Historically strong winds took place in the Tiffin area Sunday. Many experienced power outages, TV, internet, and phone outages, as well as tree limbs and other objects being blown around.
