Police: Tiffin woman dies from suspected overdose
TIFFIN, OH — Tiffin Police are investigating the death of a Tiffin woman at her residence Sunday morning as a drug overdose, according to the department.
Officers were dispatched around 6:15 AM Sunday to University Apartments at 184 E. Market St., after receiving a call regarding a woman lying on the ground blocking a door. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found the woman, Erica L. Callahan, 27, of Tiffin, deceased.
Callahan’s death is from an apparent drug overdose. The person who reported the incident is unknown and left the scene, according to the department.
Authorities found suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia in the apartment, which will be tested. The Seneca County Coroner’s Office and Tiffin Fire Rescue Division assisted with the call.
