Seven Columbian grads receive TC Alumni Association scholarships
TIFFIN, OH – Stacey Kiesel, President of the Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association, announced that seven Columbian graduating seniors were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the TCAA Scholarship Fund in 2018.
The TCAA Scholarship Fund was enacted in 2005. Since then, 42 scholarships have been awarded to Columbian graduates totaling $42,600, according to Jodie Reinbolt, Executive Director of The Tiffin Charitable Foundation.
Funds are administered by The Tiffin Charitable Foundation, which adds another level of accountability. The Foundation writes and sends checks directly to each student’s college or university of choice.
After reviewing applications, the TCAA Board of Directors chose the following 2018 recipients. Listed, are the recipients, their colleges of choice and preferred programs:
Lydia Arnold– Ohio Wesleyan University, biology and pre-med;
Anna Fletcher- Ohio University, social work;
Natalie Gase– John Carroll University, biology with a neuroscience concentration;
Andrew W. Goshe– Bowling Green State University, digital technologies and computer information systems;
Ryann Hartenstein– University of Cincinnati, nursing;
Olivia Pauly– University of Findlay, pharmacy;
Heather Riedlinger- Terra State Community College, agribusiness.
Also enacted in 2005 is the Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association Enrichment Fund. Reinbolt said since 2005, the TCAA Enrichment Fund has endowed a total of $76,901.68 to Tiffin City Schools for a variety of district-wide classroom programs, projects and materials.
