Japanese fusion steakhouse & sushi restaurant opening in Tiffin

UPDATE: Mayor Aaron Montz says Kiku will be ‘opening soon’ after running into some delays (as of Nov. 4, 2018)

TIFFIN, OH — Kiku Fusion Sushi and Steak House has announced plans to open a location in the Tiffin Mall this summer. The restaurant is to focus on dine-in and take-out sushi and hibachi Japanese cuisine.

Owner John Zhu chose Tiffin to expand his existing business due to the growing market. “The town is expanding, there are a lot of college students and young people. It’s a good time to have a business in Tiffin,” he said.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz welcomed the new restaurant. “We are excited that Kiku Fusion Sushi and Steak House chose Tiffin to locate their business. This is another step forward for the Tiffin Mall site, and we are eager to announce additional development on the site in the near future.”

Zhu’s restaurant Kiku Sushi and Hibachi is a cornerstone in the Monroe, MI community and has been recognized for its outstanding cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. The restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients. The Tiffin store will be the third restaurant for the owners.
