Tiffin man transported to hospital after driver runs red light, causes crash
A Thursday morning accident at South Washington and East Market streets resulted in one Tiffin man being transported to Tiffin Mercy Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to information from the Tiffin Police Department, 44-year-old Brian Holman was driving a 2011 Hyundai Elantra on East Market Street around 7:47 AM. Karen Hampshire, 42, of Tiffin, was driving a 2012 Chevy Traverse on South Washington Street along with her children, Hannah Hampshire, 9, and Nathan Hampshire, 3, both of Tiffin.
Hampshire ran the red light and struck Holman’s vehicle, according to the release. Everyone was wearing seatbelts and the children were properly secured in safety seats.
Hampshire was cited with red light violation. The Tiffin Fire Rescue Division, Tiffin Police Department, and John’s Welding & Towing responded on-scene.
