Montz thanks area storm recovery workers & volunteers
TIFFIN – Mayor Aaron D. Montz (R) thanked Tiffin city officials and volunteers who helped (and are still helping) with the recovery efforts following last weekend’s storm that hit Tiffin’s south end particularly hard.
Montz said “the Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division, Tiffin Police Department, Tiffin Park & Recreation, Tiffin Public Works, AEP, and members of the Administration all performed way above and beyond what is expected.”
“I also want to thank the countless citizens who showed up with chainsaws, gloves, and more to lend a hand to folks they did not even know,” Montz added.
Thousands of area residents were without power after Sunday’s storms. Again, the majority of the impact from tonight’s storms was on the south end of Tiffin and its outskirts.
“This is what Tiffin is all about. There is this special something about our community always rallying together and having each other’s backs,” Montz said.
